Carmella Stone Klein - Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher

Carmella began practicing yoga in 2001 .  At the time she was a mother of two young children and a registered Art Therapist.  She started taking classes in the Iyengar method. “Yoga in this method immediately connected with me.  I found a practice that gave me energy and a way out of the physical pains I was experiencing. I was able to strengthen my body and tap into energy that I never thought possible.  And the yoga philosophy gives me constant support and a way to evolve to my highest potential as a human being. I feel such gratitude to Iyengar yoga and all my teachers for giving me the ability to help people find health, freedom from pain, and emotional and spiritual growth.” Carmella traveled to Pune, India in 2016 where she studied at the Iyengar Institute.  When she’s not studying or practicing yoga, Carmella enjoys cooking and gardening.

Laurie Thomas - Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher

I have always felt grounded to the earth through my love for gardening, which is grounded in my love for my family.  Iyengar yoga has given me the ability to work through the physical stress that gardening and life brings.  More importantly, Iyengar yoga has given me the foundation for spiritual growth and contentment.  It has broadened my awareness of the physical body and in turn strengthened my emotional and cognitive state.  I am truly fortunate to have amazing teachers to inspire me on this path of yoga.

Jane Froman - Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher

A trip to India 50 years ago led Jane to study yoga, Indian music, and Indian dance. But it was not until 2003, with a breast cancer diagnosis, that she had her first Iyengar yoga class, which was truly life-changing.

Ten years later, she became a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher. The anchor of her life, Iyengar Yoga is a continual source of growth and exploration. Its therapeutic benefits were essential to her healing from two cancers, as well as the muscular/skeletal traumas that come with aging. Jane endeavors to share those benefits with her students and to inspire them to experience Yoga as a fount of sustenance, health, and strength. Grateful for the brilliance of the Iyengar method and her teachers, she encourages her students to examine and move beyond their perceived limitations. Jane is also an avid gardener, cook, art lover, walker and kayaker.
